Committee Positions

  • Administrative:  FCS is constantly on the go, participating in numerous events and meetings can be difficult to keep up with. So it’s important to find ways to help keep FCS organized and up to date for all its participants! Provide your organizational prowess and pick up some new skills by joining Admin committee!

  • Dance Troupe Manager:  FCS has our own Dance Troupe who have the opportunity to perform at numerous events, they recently performed at El Camino College! We’re looking for an individual who will work with Event and Logistics and assist in overseeing the artistic vision of the Dance Troupe this year!

  • Education:  Did you know that FCS has an FCS internship? Did you enjoy the lessons this year’s teachers taught? You’ll be able to contribute your own ideas for this year’s FCS internship or the Seasonal Program’s Curriculum and what you want to see be taught and developed!

  • Events and Logistics:  FCS attends and participates in a number of Fil-American activities and events in the Los Angeles and Orange County area. You can gain a great number of event-planning experience and skills if you choose to join!

  • Financial:  Keeping our finances in order is a very important part of FCS so we can continue to fund such a wonderful program, our finances need to be intact. Through Financial Committee, you can gain various skills in accounting, auditing and mathematics.

  • Mentorship:  Are you interested in creating a space for students to more deeply understand their identity as a Filipino/Filipino-American through collective learning and near-peer mentorship, leadership development, and community building? Then look no further as mentorship committee might be the perfect fit for you!

  • Publicity and Marketing:  Thanks to social media and other forms of outreaching, FCS is constantly be in the front view. Provide your graphic designing skills and gain more knowledge in what other ways you can advertise FCS throughout the year!

  • Academic Planning:  One of the main programming of FCS throughout the year is the Seasonal Programs.  If you’re interested in planning and executing creative and fun ideas for the youth ages 5 to 18 in learning about their Filipino and Filipino American this would be a perfect opportunity to showcase your skills and talents.

  • Volunteer: FCS wouldn’t be able to run without the people who take time out of their lives to volunteer for events and programming. Help assist in providing insight on volunteer development, recruitment and provide opportunities for volunteers to continue their involvement throughout the year!
